Terms of Service
Last updated: January 1, 2026
1. Services
VK Light Solutions provides commercial LED lighting installation, LED retrofit projects, warehouse and high-bay lighting upgrades, office lighting, exterior and parking lot lighting, electrical services, and utility rebate project coordination for commercial and industrial clients in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
All electrical work is performed by licensed electricians and completed in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. Specific service scope is defined in the project proposal or signed contract for each engagement.
2. Quotes and Proposals
All written estimates and project proposals are provided at no charge. Quoted prices are based on information available at the time of the site visit and reflect estimated material costs, labor, equipment, and applicable rebate projections.
Final project cost may vary from the initial estimate based on actual project scope, changes in material pricing, site access conditions, ceiling height or lift requirements, electrical panel or wiring modifications discovered during installation, and any client-requested changes after the proposal is issued.
A signed agreement is required before any work begins. Quotes are generally valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise noted.
3. Utility Rebates
VK Light Solutions assists clients in identifying and applying for utility rebate programs available through New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania utility providers. We prepare and submit rebate applications on behalf of our clients as part of the project coordination process.
Rebate approvals, amounts, and eligibility are determined solely by the applicable utility company or program administrator, not by VK Light Solutions. Rebate coverage varies depending on the utility provider, program availability at the time of application, fixture specifications, and project eligibility.
VK Light Solutions does not guarantee rebate approval or specific rebate amounts. Any rebate projections provided during the proposal process are estimates based on current program guidelines and are subject to change.
4. Scheduling and Installation
Installation scheduling is coordinated with the client after project approval and material procurement. Start dates depend on material availability, project size, site access requirements, and client scheduling preferences.
VK Light Solutions makes reasonable efforts to complete installations within the timeframe communicated in the project proposal. Scheduling may be affected by equipment lead times, utility or permit requirements, weather conditions for exterior work, or site conditions that differ from what was assessed during the initial visit.
Clients are responsible for providing safe and accessible working conditions on the day of installation. Any delays caused by site inaccessibility or client-initiated schedule changes may affect project timelines.
5. Cleanup and Disposal
VK Light Solutions removes installation-related debris, old fixtures, packaging materials, and other job site waste as a standard part of every project, unless the client and VK Light Solutions agree in writing to an alternative arrangement prior to the start of work.
The work area will be left in a clean and orderly condition at the end of each working day and upon project completion.
6. Warranties
VK Light Solutions provides a 2-year workmanship warranty covering labor and installation quality on all completed projects. This warranty covers defects related to the installation itself and does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification, power surges, or events outside of our control.
LED fixtures and equipment are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which typically ranges from 5 to 10 years depending on the product. Warranty claims on fixtures are handled directly through the manufacturer or through VK Light Solutions as an authorized installer, depending on the product line.
7. Insurance and Licensing
VK Light Solutions is insured. General liability insurance documentation is available upon request prior to or during a project engagement. All electrical work is performed by licensed electricians operating in compliance with applicable state and local requirements in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, VK Light Solutions' liability for any claim arising from services rendered is limited to the total value of the contract under which the claim arises. VK Light Solutions is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of revenue or business interruption, regardless of whether VK Light Solutions was advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for personal injury, property damage, or other claims where limitation is not permitted by law.
